Come Play the National Anthem at the Ritchie Center!
UPDATE! That performance was awesome!
For many of the performers, this was their first time playing music in front of strangers, and of course, others are old pros. Everyone did such a great job and we couldn’t be more proud. So many comments and compliments on an outstanding performance. Without further adieu, here is the video.
We are so excited to announce that the music lesson students of Do-Re-Mi Lessons have been invited to play the National Anthem on the ice at Magness Arena for the DU Men’s Hockey game on Feburary 1, 2020. The Pioneers will take on the Minnesota-Duluth Bull Dogs. Our students performed at a hockey game last year, and it was a blast! All Do-Re-Mi lesson students who play string, woodwind, brass, percussion, or guitar are invited to perform (there’s no power available on the ice, so acoustic instruments only.)
Music will be available to students of all levels who want to play with the group. Your lesson teacher can help you learn your part, and we will rehearse together to get ready for the performance.
There is a $35 fee for each student who participates. This fee includes your music, rehearsal time, and a Do-Re-Mi t-shirt to wear while we perform. If you already have a shirt from last year the fee is $25.
We are performing– Saturday February 1, 2020. The game starts at 7:00. Performers will need to arrive at The Ritchie Center around 5:00 (full details to come).
We are rehearsing– Saturday January 25 from 10:00-12:00
Friday January 31 from 7:00-8:30 pm
Both rehearsals will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church, on the northwest corner of Belleview and Lowell.

Performers get into the game for free. Family members can purchase group tickets for $10 if you order them through us by 1/15/2020. If you would like to purchase the tickets on your own, they start at $20 and can be purchased here.
