A Horn Clinic for Players of all Levels

Do-Re-Mi horn instructor Dr. Ashley Gulbranson will discuss and demonstrate sound production, right hand position, tips for excellent intonation and ideas on more effective practicing.
This clinic is open to and will be beneficial to French horn players of all ages and abilities. From the student that just picked up the horn for the first time a month ago to the seasoned veteran everyone will gain insight into becoming a more musical horn player. Participants are invited to bring their instruments for hands-on development.

Dr. Ashley Gulbranson has recently completed her DMA in horn performance and pedagogy CU Boulder. She has taught at the Interlochen Arts Camp, the CU High School Summer Music Academy, and has served as the Graduate Horn Studio TA at CU and the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. She has performed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Stratus Chamber Orchestra and many others. Beyond teaching and performing, Dr. Gulbranson is an active researcher in the area of wellness in horn performance and pedagogy. Dr. Gulbranson is the founder of the blog “The Healthy Horn Player”.
