The Tivoli Club is comprised of musicians from some of Denver’s most celebrated bands. Members include those from the Alpha Schoolmarm Orchestra, FaceMan, Filthy Children, Judge Roughneck, Lost Dog Ensemble, Mlima, Money Plays 8, New York Street Boys, Playground Ensemble and many others. The repertoire is a smorgasbord spanning from Kendrick Lamar to Garth Brooks with a little Hava Nagila on the side, all interpreted in a way that only a 9-piece brass band can achieve.
20 piece swing band Bob’s Big Band
Denver’s multi-generational Swing era big band. Founded by trombonist, Bob Mendenhall who cut his teeth in the 30’s and 40’s playing the music of the generation. You will hear the music of Ellington, Basie, Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey, Les Brown and his Band of Renown, Benny Goodman, Krupa, Kenton, and Colorado’s own Glenn Miller. So break out the dancing shoes, if you like, and come on out to an era of Ballrooms and Big Bands.
Fresh off winning 3rd place in the state for winter percussion, the Arapahoe Drumline will give us a sneak preview of whats to come for the 2018 marching season. We might even get to hear some of the greatest hits of the past.
And of course, our students!
