David holds a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. He performs nationally with rock band FaceMan and maintains a very active schedule as a Jazz Musician and Bluegrass picker. Dave teaches all levels and styles on Guitar, Bass, Ukulele and Banjo. In addition to teaching at Do Re Mi, Dave is also the guitar instructor at Colorado Academy

Lessons with David are $33 for 30 minutes.

James Hudson

Guitar Lessons, Bass and Banjo Lessons

James Hudson holds a Master of Music degree in Guitar Performance from University of Colorado at Boulder. Furthermore, his enthusiasm for music and boundless curiosity bolster his penchant for teaching. Over decades of performance, teaching, and study, James has honed his detailed, patient, and good-natured approach. James teaches guitar, bass, and banjo to all ages.

Lessons with James are $30.00 for 30 minute lessons.

My child has been taking guitar lessons with James at Do-Re-Mi for two years and it’s been such a great experience. He’s learned so much and is genuinely excited to go to lessons every week. The staff is always wonderful and so helpful. And it’s in a great location. I highly recommend them for music lessons!!

Mike Brown

Upright Bass, Electric Bass

Mike is deeply committed to ensuring that music remains a source of enjoyment, creativity, and growth. His teaching philosophy centers around honing technique, understanding theory, and refining one’s musical ear, all while tailoring strategies to the student’s passions. He encourages them to evolve into independent artists as they expand their musical expertise. Mike earned his Bachelor of Music in double bass performance from Metropolitan State University and pursued advanced studies in Contemporary Improvisation at the New England Conservatory of Music.

Proficient across diverse musical settings, whether classical concert halls, rock stages, or jazz clubs, Mike’s musical journey spans from intimate house concerts to esteemed venues like Carnegie Hall. His musical talents are showcased in Ken Burns’ documentaries and the film “Up In the Air.”

Bass Lessons with Mike are $33.00 for 30 minute sessions.
