Do-Re-Mi Music Lessons
TEXT US
Signing up for activities like music lessons can be daunting. Parents often worry if they are making the right choice, if the program will fit into their busy schedules or if it is even any good. Similarly, adults looking to add a new skill or to rediscover a life passion often have similar apprehensions. We can help with that.
Learning music is as easy as Do Re Mi.
Every person has their own unique reasons for wanting to take music lessons. Some students endeavor to have a career in music, some students need support with their school music. Many simply want extra enrichment in their lives or the personal challenge of learning something new for their own growth. Furthermore, lots of people just want to learn a few songs to have fun with friends. We get that. Your goals are our goals.
Music lesson teachers at Do Re Mi are some of the most highly-qualified, professional educators and musicians around. However, a common question we hear is, “we’re just starting this, is it really that important that our teacher has a degree in this specific instrument?” The answer is a resounding yes, because you deserve the best. Furthermore, having expert eyes and ears is particularly important in the early stages of developing habits. This ensures that these habits are good ones from the outset, preventing the need for painstaking corrections laterand worst-case scenario, potential frustration leading to students quitting music altogether.
All of our teachers specialize and have spent decades studying, teaching and performing their instruments. At Do Re Mi, we believe that success stems from expert experience, not from someone who merely dabbles in teaching piano, drums, clarinet, and violin. We meticulously select our teachers and conduct thorough background checks because our students deserve it.
Learning to play music is a life-long gift, and this is a fantastic place to take lessons! Desiree and Dean truly care about their students, as do all the other music teachers there. We love how are 3 kids have grown musically, in performance, and in self-esteem thanks to Do Re Mi.

Performing can be a very rewarding experience, and families love seeing the progress their loved ones are making. We work hard to provide fun, low-pressure, and unique performance opportunities for our students. Each year, we host two studio-wide recitals: Do Re Mi and You in the Park during the summer, and a Winter Recital held in a public space like Southwest Plaza Mall. Additionally, Our students have performed at Colorado Rockies and DU Hockey games. We have had caroling groups share their talents at retirement facilities. Here at Do Re Mi, we believe that finding the right performance opportunities fosters learning and growth for our students.
I LOVE this studio. The teachers are professional and personable — meeting each student wherever they are. It is not the church lady next door teaching “Hot Cross Buns.” My child’s percussion technique has improved so much and as a result, so many musical

Building strong relationships is the cornerstone of learning and creating a thriving community. We’re proud that many of our teachers have been with us since our doors opened in February 2018, and in some cases, we’ve even collaborated for decades. This deep understanding and collaboration allows us to provide exceptional music education. One of the biggest frustrations parents often have with music lessons (or other activities) is a lack of transparency. They don’t know what their child is working on or how they’re expected to practice. It’s so helpful for students and their families to be able to foster a relationship with their teachers. We encourage this. Teachers and students at Do Re Mi are in direct communication about how music lessons are going and the best ways to grow.
